Two Madison Township men were arrested on March 29 after an alleged armed robbery in Chardon. When police arrived, they learned that three victims were allegedly robbed at gunpoint by two men whom they knew, said Chardon Police Chief Timothy McKenna in a news release.
The victims identified the suspects to police through Facebook as 19 year old Michael A. Gossard and 20 year old Tyelor G. Rought. The suspects allegedly pointed a silver and black handgun at the victims and stole cash, cell phones, a RODE brand microphone and shoes, McKenna said.
A victim told police that the suspects were driving a blue Chevrolet car, possibly a Cobalt or Cavalier, westbound on Center Street after leaving the residence.
Police allegedly recovered the stolen property, drug paraphernalia and a Taurus PT840 handgun, McKenna said.
of 7041 Middle Ridge Road, was arraigned on March 31 in Chardon Municipal Court and charged with first degree felony aggravated robbery, first degree misdemeanor assault and second degree misdemeanor criminal damaging. Judge Terri L. Stupica set bond at $50,000 cash or surety and a preliminary hearing was set for April 7, according to court records.
Gossard, of 7031 Middle Ridge Road, also was charged at his April 1 arraignment with first degree felony aggravated robbery, as well as first degree misdemeanor aggravated menacing. Bond was set at $50,000 cash and his next court hearing is scheduled for April 8, according to court records.
