This need for a wardrobe re vamp is something Sydney stylist Julie Ann Aspinall identified during the years following the birth of her own daughter, and something that she has recently evolved into a business The Style Trooper.
After working in a corporate environment I was used to knowing what I was going to wear every day and then all of a sudden I was pushing a pram around, not going out as much early on and spending a lot of time in playgrounds and parks, Ms Aspinall told Daily Mail Australia.
I also realised how much my shape had changed and reassessed my wardrobe and many of my friends asked for help with their own.’

With mothers making up a large majority of her client base, Ms Aspinall spends a lot of time helping them cleanse their wardrobes and find interchangeable outfits that suit their new lifestyles.
I help women find clothes that fit well and are modern and help them do so whatever their budget, Ms Aspinall said.
A lot of the time its about getting rid of the nice dress they’ve been keeping for six years just in case and finding some great white, navy and black t shirts to wear with different jeans, different pants and for work, social and all sorts of different occasions.
JULIE ANN’S TOP SIX POST BABY STYLE TIPS1. JEANS
Everyone should have a blue and black pair of straight leg, mid rise jeans that feel comfortable and that fit, look and suit the best.
Have a really well cut, tailored black blazer that is the right shape for your body. It can go over a dress for dinner or with a pair of jeans and a white T shirt and black shoes as the perfect outfit for almost anything!
3. BACK PACK
Back packs are really on trend! It give you two hands to juggle your kids and they make them so beautifully now from Burberry, to Marc Jacobs, to Fossil and even Sports Girl!
4. ‘ME’ TIME
Is is so important to take time for yourself in the morning even if it just to do your hair, put some mascara or lip gloss on or anything that makes you feel good, and it will set the day off a lot better!
5. You should be focusing on the new born and you and be going with what you feel best in. The fashion side of things can come into it once this important time has passed.

Ms Aimer turned to Ms Aspinall for help, worried that she wasn’t finding clothes that suited her style as well as her lifestyle.
I needed some help to let go of a lot of things I was hanging onto and saving for another time, Ms Aimer said.
I was always going for a look that I like and not really getting it Id spend so much time trying things on and buying the wrong things and it stressed me out in the morning because I like to look nice and its important for me to feel good.
Ms Aimer was shown how to mix and match different pieces and basics to create outfits, and went from having a crowded, mis matched clothing selection to a streamlined wardrobe that worked for different occasions.

It gave me that confidence where I felt cool and stylish again and I now have the confidence to carry off the style that I love againbut in a more balanced and grown up way.
